VK Clips now has “Trends”.

VKontakte developers have announced an update to their short video clip service. A “Trends” section is now available in “VK Clips.” According to the company’s representatives, integrated trends make it easier to create content: popular hashtags and music tracks are offered to authors when they publish.

The specially created section accumulates current trends and a calendar of significant events, helping authors to track current trends and identify potentially interesting topics for future videos.

“Clips with a trending hashtag or track become prominent in the feed and get more attention: algorithms take into account the relevance of the topic and viewers’ interests, helping high-quality videos reach a wider audience. The mechanics are available to VKontakte communities and profiles, — VKontakte said.
