Redmi K90 Pro Max will be released on October 27: date and design confirmed

The flagship will get a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, 2K OLED display and Bose sound
Redmi has officially announced that it will unveil the Redmi K90 smartphone series on October 27 in China. The main new product will be the Redmi K90 Pro Max, and insiders expect the standard version of the Redmi K90 to be unveiled alongside it.

Design and features of Redmi K90 Pro Max
The published promotional images show the white variant of the Redmi K90 Pro Max. The smartphone gets thin bezels, rounded corners and a large rectangular camera unit located at the top of the rear panel. On the left are the lenses and LED flash, while on the right is the “Sound by Bose” logo, confirming sound customization by Bose.


Redmi has not yet revealed images of the base model of the K90, but it is expected to retain the overall design and layout of the older version.

According to leaks, Redmi K90 Pro Max will be powered by the latest chipset Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while the standard K90 will be powered by last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite. Both devices will get Android 16 with the HyperOS 3 shell optimized for smooth performance.
Expect 6.59-inch OLED display with 2K resolution, contrasty picture and rich colors. A 7500mAh battery with support for 100W fast and 50W wireless charging is responsible for battery life. The Pro Max model features periscopic telephoto lens, which will set it apart from its competitors.


Preliminary reports suggest that the Redmi K90 Pro Max will have a starting price of around $560 in China. In international markets, the series may be released under the Poco brand: the Redmi K90 as Poco F8 Pro, and the K90 Pro Max as Poco F8 Ultra.
