YouTube Music Introduces New Options: Synchronized Lyrics and a “Samples” Section

The lyrics section continues to reside in a dedicated tab on the player screen. However, the lyrics are now more readable and the currently playing line is highlighted in bright white color. Several users discovered this new feature as early as April, but not all songs still have «live» lyrics.

The «Semples» section is located in the main menu of the YouTube Music app. It’s a vertical feed with short snippets of music videos, specially customized in the TikTok style. This approach allows users to quickly discover new music. If a clip piques interest, it’s easy to jump to the full song.
The new features are being rolled out incrementally to the YouTube Music mobile app for iOS and Android platforms. With these updates, users can enjoy a richer and more engaging experience with the music service.
