The chip for the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold has been unveiled

Samsung will release its first triple-barrel smartphone this year, and yesterday it was revealed that it could be called the Galaxy Z TriFold, as the company has registered the name in Korea.
Today, it’s time to talk about the chipset it’s running on, as that was revealed via lines of code in Samsung’s Android 16-based One UI 8. And that would be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, the same one found in the recently released Galaxy Z Fold7.

According to previous leaks, the TriFold’s internal screen when unfolded will have a diagonal of about 10 inches, as well as a protective cover, as this device will fold differently than the Huawei Mate XT (the first tri-fold smartphone on the market).
It’s perhaps unsurprising that the Galaxy Z TriFold will be quite expensive — around 4 million Korean won in Korea, which is currently around $2,873 dollars or 2,469 euros (roughly 230,000 rubles). Unfortunately, the device may only be available in Korea and China, at least initially.
