According to Apple’s description, the plot continues “the epic chronicle of the Exiles’ quest to save humanity and rebuild civilization amid the collapse of the Galactic Empire.” Amid the decline of a once-powerful regime, the Foundation flourishes, gaining influence and power.

The main threat in the third season is a mysterious character nicknamed Mule, one of the key antagonists of Asimov’s original series. The emergence of this character, who possesses paranormal powers, marks a new round of tension in the story.
