Huawei has regained leadership in China’s foldable smartphone market

The brand accounted for 50% of all foldable devices sold in the first half of 2023. Meanwhile, the company’s smartphones don’t even have support for 5G networks due to the sanctions imposed.
A new market study shows that Huawei is now the largest seller of foldable smartphones in China.
However, taking the top spot in the Chinese market — a great achievement. In Europe, foldable smartphones are mainly represented by the Samsung brand, while in China, vivo, Honor, Oppo, Xiaomi compete with each other.

Oppo is in second place in China, followed by Samsung. Vivo, Honor, Xiaomi and Motorola round out the rankings.
