Rumors: thinner body, better camera, more expensive price
The information was shared by well-known insider @Ricciolo1 on platform X (formerly Twitter). According to him, the official announcement has been pushed back to “mid-July,” which means a slight delay compared to initial predictions.
Besides the date, the source described possible improvements of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 over its predecessor. These include an improved camera, larger display, reduced body thickness and better battery life. Presumably, the model is being developed based on the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, which was sold only in South Korea. Its thickness is 4.9mm when unfolded and 10.6mm when folded, while the Fold 6 has a thickness of 5.6mm and 12.1mm respectively.
No battery revolution, but rising prices
Despite expectations, the rumored Galaxy Z Fold 7 will not feature a next-generation silicon-carbon battery. The device will likely retain the 4400 mAh battery like the Z Fold 6. Improvements in battery life could come from the more power-efficient Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and optimizations in the One UI 8.

There’s less good news, however – the Galaxy Z Fold 7 could get more expensive. For comparison, the base version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 (12GB RAM + 256GB ROM) cost $1899. Even a minor price increase, such as $50, can cause a negative reaction, especially if the improvements aren’t as significant as claimed.
