Vivo X100 Pro+: leaked specs

vivo X100 Pro+ will feature three impressive cameras, an insider suggested today. It’s claimed that the upcoming flagship, expected in the coming months, will feature a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX989 type 1″ — sensor, the same one used in the X90 Pro+. However, we’re likely to see a variable aperture here, as Huawei did in the P60 Pro with its f/1.4-f/4.0 main camera.

Another improvement could be a so-called 200MP telephoto lens, which would be a huge increase for such a camera in the smartphone world. The portrait camera is also said to be 50 MP, with a Sony IMX758 sensor behind the lens. This is the same sensor found in the vivo X90 Pro+ and X90 Pro models with 2x optical zoom, autofocus and OIS for that camera.

The phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which means we won’t see it until Qualcomm officially releases the chipset. Vivo will also equip the X100 Pro+ with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The leak also claimed IP68 water and dust protection, as well as an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the screen.

All of the above features are the industry standard for flagships in the last year, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see them in the X100 Pro+. What will surprise us is if the company does release a Qualcomm-powered phone, something it hasn’t done since mid-2022, when the vivo X80 Pro launched internationally.
