Xiaomi unveiled its first YU7 SUV with smart features

The model debuted with an original design, an enhanced interior and autopilot support
At a presentation in China, Xiaomi unveiled not only its flagship 15s Pro smartphones and Pad 7 Ultra tablet, but also the company’s first ever crossover – the Xiaomi YU7. The manufacturer emphasized that the novelty is not just a modification of the SU7 sedan, but a completely independent development with a unique appearance and advanced features.

Aerodynamic design and record-breaking body elements
Xiaomi YU7 has an expressive body with a length of 4999 mm, width of 1996 mm and height of 1600 mm with a wheelbase of 3000 mm. The class-leading 3.11m² one-piece aluminum hood is combined with a 141-liter front trunk. The LED optics have been redesigned with air channel headlamps and a rear halo lamp with ultra-red illumination.
Body streamlining is improved with 10 through channels, 19 air vents, an active grille and a rear spoiler with hollow construction. The aerodynamic drag coefficient is only 0.245 Cd.

Luxury interior and unique displays
The YU7’s interior concept is a «dual-zone luxury capsule» with an emphasis on comfort and technology. The centerpiece is the Xiaomi HyperVision system with a triple Mini LED display projecting information into the lower part of the windshield. The total image width reaches 1.1 meters, with brightness and resolution adapting to the situation. A remote control panel is also available to control the car’s functions.
The interior is made of 100 percent soft-touch materials with OEKO-TEX Class 1 certification. The front seats are massaging and zero-gravity, while the rear seats are power-operated. Trunk capacity is up to 1,970 liters, including 678 liters in the main compartment and 141 liters in the front trunk.
Powerful powertrain and fast charging
The modified Xiaomi HyperEngine V6s Plus engine delivers 690 hp and accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.23 seconds. Suspension is twin wishbones at the front, a multi-lever setup at the rear, dual air springs and adaptive dampers.

The base version has a 96.3 kWh battery and a range of up to 835 kilometers (on the CLTC cycle). The 800V silicon carbide-based architecture allows the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes.

Next-generation safety and autopilot
The body is made of a hybrid of steel and aluminum using 2200 MPa super-strength steel. The electronics are integrated into a «4-in-1» module that includes a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor platform with 700 TOPS of processing power.
All configurations include LiDAR, millimeter-wave radar, 11 cameras and 12 ultrasonic sensors. Safe driving training is available with the help of assistance systems.

The Xiaomi YU7 is scheduled to launch in July. The car will be available in three colors: emerald green, titanium silver, and Lava Orange.
