Silicon Power introduced DDR5 CUDIMM with up to 9200 MT/s

Silicon Power has released its first CUDIMM-enabled DDR5 RAM modules. The new XPOWER Cyclone lineup features speeds up to 9200 MT/s, XMP 3.0 support, built-in error correction, and stylish RGB backlighting.

XPOWER Cyclone DDR5: Overclocking up to 9200 MT/s, RGB and efficiency

Silicon Power has officially unveiled two versions of its high-performance DDR5 RAM – XPOWER Cyclone DDR5 RGB CUDIMM and UDIMM. Both models are aimed at gamers and enthusiasts who are not only interested in high frequencies, but also stability in extreme operating modes.

The key feature of the CUDIMM version is the built-in Client Clock Driver (CKD), which provides better signal integrity and more precise timing control at frequencies above 8000 MT/s. This meets the latest JEDEC requirements: DDR5 modules above 6400 MT/s must have a CKD.

Technical Specifications and Features

Modules XPOWER Cyclone DDR5 RGB CUDIMM come in a 48GB (2×24GB) package and are offered with frequencies:

  • 8200 MT/s (CL40-52-52-131, 1.4V)
  • 8400 MT/s (CL40-52-52-134, 1.4V)
  • 8800 MT/s (CL42-55-55-140, 1.45V)
  • 9200 MT/s (CL44-56-56-134, 1.45V)

Each module features a 2mm thick aluminum heatsink which, according to the manufacturer, reduces the temperature by more than 10°C. It also features RGB lighting and a white case that will blend in nicely with a light-colored build.

Any module is equipped with a 2mm-thick aluminum heatsink, which the manufacturer says reduces temperatures by more than 10°C.

Platform support and compatibility

The memory is fully compatible with Intel Z890 and Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors. But AMD’s support isn’t quite as clear:

  • Ryzen 7000 – officially CUDIMM is not supported.
  • Ryzen 8000/9000 – partial support on X870 and 870E motherboards, confirmed by MSI.
  • AMD says technical support is possible, but gives no timeline.

Silicon Power’s modules are currently focused primarily on the Intel platform.

No price or timing yet

At the time of the announcement, neither the price nor the exact date when the XPOWER Cyclone DDR5 RGB CUDIMM will be available for sale. However, given the specs, we can expect positioning in the upper end of the market.
