Samsung has officially confirmed: the new Galaxy S25 Edgehas become the thinnest smartphone in the history of the flagship Galaxy lineup. The body thickness is just 5.8mm, and that’s not a rumor, but data announced at the launch.

Why it’s called Edge

The main feature of the Galaxy S25 Edge is the ultra-thin body for which this smartphone was created. It’s its dimensions that earned the device the name «Edge» and it’s not just marketing, it’s a real achievement by Samsung engineers.

is not just a marketing device, but a real achievement by Samsung engineers.

Rumors of an extra-thin body were floating around long before the release, but now the exact figure is officially known – 5.8mm. That makes the Galaxy S25 Edge the thinnest smartphone in the Galaxy S series and the thinnest flat Android smartphone from Samsung

Lightweight but powerful

The Galaxy S25 Edge weighs just 163 grams, making it not only thin, but also pleasantly lightweight for everyday use. Despite its minimalist form factor, the device retains its premium status, featuring a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, proprietary shell One UI 7 and support for Galaxy AI – the same as all S25 models.

Durability without compromise

The body is protected by the latest glass Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the front panel, one of the most drop-resistant materials in the mobile industry. The side bezel is made of titanium, emphasizing the premium nature of the device and enhancing its durability.

When and Where to Buy

Galaxy S25 Edge will go on sale from May 30, 2025 in most key markets. Three color options will be available:

  • Titanium Silver
  • Titanium Jetblack
  • Titanium Icyblue
