Disney unveiled the G1T4-M1N1 robot companion in the style of the droids from Star Wars

A collaboration between Disney and Piaggio Fast Forward, makers of the Gitamini robot carrier, has unveiled an innovative robotic assistant. The G1T4-M1N1, which is essentially a smart suitcase, features a design inspired by the “Star Wars” universe.

The G1T4-M1N1 is designed to accompany the user and assist with routine tasks. With its built-in cameras and sensors, it is able to identify and follow the owner on smooth roads at speeds of up to 9.6 km/h.

The robot weighs approximately 13 kilograms and can transport loads weighing up to 9 kilograms. The G1T4-M1N1’s full battery charge is enough to travel up to 34 kilometers, and the full charge time is only 2 hours. The design also includes a USB port for recharging other devices.

The robot supports Wi-Fi connectivity (2.4 and 5 GHz) and has Bluetooth speakers so you can listen to music while moving. The robot is controlled via a mobile app compatible with Android and iOS.

Disney officials note that the G1T4-M1N1 allows “Star Wars” fans to feel like they’re part of the sci-fi universe in regular life. But it won’t come cheap – it’s priced at around $3,100 ($250 670 USD) in US stores.
