Double Dragon Revive introduced the villains, from Abobo to Willie

Publisher Arc System Works and Yuke’s Studio have released a new trailer for the game Double Dragon Revive, introducing players to the main antagonistic cast. The video introduces the ten enemies the Lee brothers will face: Williams, Roper, Abobo, Linda, Min, Ahn, Joji, Marcus, Willie, and Raymond.

The game is expected to be released on October 23, 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (Steam).

Who’s Who in the Shadow Warriors

The developers have released brief dossiers on each of the characters. All of them belong to the criminal group Shadow Warriors, which controls the city and is the main threat to the main characters.

• Williams is one of the gang’s key fighters and Willie’s right-hand man. He has known the leader since before the founding of the gang and is characterized by absolute loyalty. He uses acrobatics to wear down his enemies.
• Roper is a squad leader on the front lines. His base of operations is in a warehouse near the slums. He prefers close combat with a bat.
• Abobo (Abobo) is a powerful and relentless «cleaner» who removes obstacles from the gang’s path. Characterized by tremendous physical strength and a focus on the Lee brothers.
• Linda (Linda) is the strategist and financial manager of Shadow Warriors. Runs a casino that serves as her main source of income. In combat, she uses her whip for ranged attacks.
• Min (Mihn) is the younger of two assassin sisters serving the group. She may seem benevolent, but in reality she is conniving and cruel. She has radical views and will do anything for the leader.
• Ahn (Ahn) is Min’s older sister, characterized by mockery and agility. Together with her younger sister, she pairs up with a quick and coordinated attack technique.
• Joji (Joji) is a former wrestler and underground fighting legend. After the war, he became bored without worthy opponents until he was recruited by the Shadow Warriors. He patrols the bridge leading to the urban area.
• Marcus (Marcus) is a young fighter with incredible strength and beastly appearance. Suddenly attacks his brothers in the subway, stalking them with his claws and speed.
• Willy (Willy) is the ruthless leader of the Shadow Warriors. Believes in the right of the strong and does not hesitate to sacrifice his subordinates. He uses firearms in combat.
• Raymond (Raymond) – another gang leader, whose philosophy is identical to Willie. He also resorts to forceful methods and spares no one.

What is known about the game

Double Dragon Revive is a reboot of the iconic beat’em up series with a modern visual style and reworked mechanics. The project promises to keep the spirit of the original while adapting the game to new platforms and the expectations of modern audiences. Considering the number of colorful opponents, we are waiting for a dynamic and diverse battle on the streets of the criminal city.
