G-SHOCK has introduced a new model DW-5600BBR-1 with amber backlighting

G-SHOCK has added a new model to its online store, the DW-5600BBR-1. It’s an updated version of the classic DW-5600UBB-1, but with bright red accents and amber backlighting. The novelty is made in a black resin case and is aimed at fans of strict and brutal style.

The DW-5600BBR-1 retains the iconic square shape of the 5600 lineup and is still shock and water resistant. The case is made from biodegradable plastic, as part of Casio’s eco-friendly initiative. The model also offers a five-year battery life, LED backlighting and an updated display with an amber tint that improves low-light readability. Red accents on the bezel and strap add to the design.

The model is part of the “BLACK AND BOLD RED” series, which hints at the possible appearance of other watches in a similar color scheme.

The DW-5600BBR-1 is already available on Casio’s UK website, priced at £99.90. It’s a limited edition model and it’s not yet known whether it will be available in Japan or other countries.

In addition, Casio has teamed up with Chinese lifestyle brand MondaySleepingClub to release a special version of the DW-5600, the DW-5610UUU-3PRM. This watch is made in a green color scheme, has a strap with the inscription «Sleep Well, Stay Healthy» and themed packaging. For now, the model is available exclusively in China.
