Chipolo unveiled a universal tracker with Apple and Android support

The Bluetooth tracker market is full of devices, but few of them boast support for both Apple’s Find My network and Android’s Find My Device. The new Chipolo POP tracker is one of the first to work with both platforms, offering compatibility no matter what device you’re using.
Support for two networks in one device
Google’s Find My Device network doesn’t arrive until 2024, and so far not many manufacturers have released trackers that support it. In contrast, Apple’s Find My ecosystem has long been fine-tuned and widely used. Chipolo has decided to bridge that gap by releasing a POP tracker that works equally well in both environments.

Principle of operation and compatibility features
Chipolo POP allows you to track lost items using any device – be it an iPhone or Android smartphone. The user will see the last known location of the tracker through the corresponding app – Apple Find My or Android Find My Device.
Chipolo POP can be used to track lost items using any device – whether it’s an iPhone or Android smartphone.
It’s important to realize that the tracker can only be connected to one of the networks at a time. This means that if your POP is tied to Android, it won’t be detected by nearby iPhone devices, and vice versa. However, when the tracker is within range of supporting devices on the respective network, its location can be updated even without the owner’s involvement – it’s safe and anonymous.
Price and colors
Chipolo POP costs $29 for a single tracker and $116 for a full-price four-pack. However, at launch there is a special offer: the 4-pack can be purchased for $89. This makes POP one of the most affordable trackers with cross-platform support.
