Realme GT 7 has received an official release date

Realme has confirmed the release date of its next flagship – the Realme GT 7 will be unveiled on April 23 at 4pm Beijing time. The announcement was posted on the brand’s official Weibo page and immediately hinted at the device’s aggressive price-to-performance positioning. Thanks to insights from Digital Chat Station and Realme representatives, a lot of interesting details are already known.
First smartphone with MediaTek Dimensity 9400+
The main technical novelty will be the use of the Dimensity 9400+ chipset, built on an advanced 3nm process. It promises a high level of performance through advanced CPU architecture and energy efficiency. It’s the first smartphone to get this chipset – weeks ahead of the competition.
The GT 7 will also feature a 144-Hertz flat OLED display from BOE with eye-care and an ultrasonic under-screen fingerprint scanner. The case will be IP68/IP69 certified, ensuring protection from water and dust even in extreme conditions.

7000mAh battery and ultra-thin body
One of the main features of the device will be a 7,000+ mAh battery with 100W fast wired charging support. Realme has managed to keep the body thickness under 8.3mm and the total weight under 205 grams.
For efficient heat dissipation, it uses an innovative “Ice Skin” cooling system with graphene, which Realme says is six times more efficient than conventional glass. The body of the device will be made with a plastic mid-frame, resulting in a lighter and thinner form factor.
Camera with OIS and a bid for balance
Realme GT 7 will get a 50MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), but the brand is focusing not so much on photo features, but on the overall balance between performance, autonomy and slim design.
Price is the new benchmark in the class
And perhaps most importantly: despite the top chipset and specs, the GT 7 will be offered for less than 3,000 yuan (roughly $410). By comparison, the Oppo Find X8s with the same chip starts at 4,199 yuan ($575), so the GT 7 already claims to be the most affordable performance flagship of 2024.
