Renault has updated the Scenic E-Tech: new technology, more comfort and a price reduction

Renault has unveiled a major update for its Scenic E-Tech electric crossover. The updates cover several areas at once, from improvements in driving and charging to smart interior features and a lower starting price.
Renault’s new Scenic E-Tech has been updated with new technology, more comfort and a lower starting price.
New One Pedal mode: one pedal control
One of the key new features is the One Pedal mode. It allows you to accelerate, decelerate and even come to a complete stop using only the accelerator pedal. The brake remains available for emergency situations, but in most cases driver intervention is minimized. The technology was developed by a subsidiary of Ampere, and is already available to current owners of Scenic E-Tech with paddles – free of charge, at a service center or via an over-the-air upgrade.

Fast and two-way charging
Now all versions of the Scenic E-Tech are equipped with an 11-kilowatt two-way AC charger, compatible with both single-phase (3 kW) and three-phase (11 kW) power grids. And in the summer of 2025, an optional 22 kW charger will be available to add 80 km of mileage in just half an hour at a public station.
In addition, the Scenic E-Tech can be used as a mobile power source thanks to the V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) adapter. Coffee makers, electric scooters, grills and other devices can be connected – up to 3.7kW of power. For France, the Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) function will also be available, allowing you to share power with the general power grid and save money on your bills.
Plug & Charge: just plug and go
Renault is also introducing Plug & Charge, which works with the Mobilize Charge Pass card. No more scanning cards or manual payment – simply plug the car into a station and the charging and payment process will happen automatically via the My Renault app.
Interior enhancements: more comfort and individuality
The Esprit Alpine now gets six-way power-adjustable front seats, including lumbar support and heating. The driver’s seat also gets a massage function. The top-of-the-line Iconic trim comes in two new interior options: standard black with Alcantara accents and optional light gray with Linden wood elements.
The seats themselves have been redesigned to provide better lateral support.
The A-pillar camera: personalization and safety
The two older trims now have a camera integrated in the left-hand pillar. It serves the driver recognition system, which automatically adjusts the profile (settings for seats, mirrors, multimedia and OpenR link apps) each time the car is started.
The same camera is used for the new “Take a Break!” safety feature. The system analyzes signs of fatigue – yawning, blinking, head tilts – and prompts you to take a break if necessary.

New Google Maps features and service
The updated Google Maps features include smartphone route plotting with in-car synchronization, automatic route recalculation, building highlighting, and selecting the most energy-efficient route. You can also get recommendations for charging stations and traffic alerts from other drivers.
When it comes to servicing – Scenic will now tell you when it’s time for a maintenance appointment. Using the My Renault app, you can check the schedule, book an appointment, receive notifications when consumables are replaced and monitor the condition of components in real time.
Price: a pleasant surprise
Despite all the improvements, the Scenic E-Tech has gotten cheaper. In the UK, the starting price is just over €37,600 and in France from €37,990. That’s about €1,800 lower than before.
