The new Apple Watch Ultra will get a lighter body

Apple Watch Ultra — Cupertino’s largest (49mm case) and heaviest (61.3g) smartwatch to date is more powerful than its “brethren” and competitors. It looks like the Apple giant will reduce the weight of the next-generation Watch Ultra, according to new information from China. While we didn’t get specifics, the source suggests that a key feature of the upcoming Watch Ultra will be a lighter case.

And it’s a good bet that it’ll be lighter.

Apple

According to a recent report, Apple will use 3D printed parts for its upcoming Watch Ultra, which could help in reducing weight. The Watch Ultra is expected to debut in the second half of the year, along with the Watch 9 series and iPhone 15. The Apple giant is also rumored to be planning to put a 2.1-inch micro-LED display on its Watch Ultra in 2024, which will offer higher brightness than the current Watch Ultra and its OLED display.

Apple’s rumored 2.1-inch micro-LED display will also be used on its Watch Ultra, which will offer higher brightness than the current Watch Ultra and its OLED display.
