MWC 2025: Nothing unveiled the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro smartphones

Nothing has officially announced two new mid-range smartphones – the Nothing Phone (3a) and the Phone (3a) Pro. Both models are built on the same platform, but the Pro version offers improved cameras, additional features and a different design.

Nothing Phone (3a) Pro: powerful and versatile

Nothing Phone (3a) Pro features a 6.77-inch OLED screen with Panda Glass protection that achieves 1300 nits of brightness in the sun, supports 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color. The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip is responsible for performance, and depending on region, variants with 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB or 12GB/256GB of storage are available.

One of the key features of the device is the camera. The main camera has a 50 MP sensor (1/1.56 inch) with f/1.88 aperture and optical stabilization (OIS). On top of that comes a 50 MP periscope camera with 3x optical zoom, supporting up to 6x with TrueLens 3.0 and AI technologies to improve the quality of the pictures. An 8 MP ultra-wide sensor is also present. The camera on the front is a 50 MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture

The 5000mAh battery supports 50W fast charging, allowing you to charge the device by 50% in just 19 minutes.

In addition, the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro includes a unique Glyph interface on the back with LED indicators for notifications, IP64 protection, and a Essential Key that helps you quickly organize tasks.

Nothing Phone (3a): an affordable alternative

Phone (3a) offers similar features, but with some simplifications:

• Camera: The main camera is still 50 MP, but instead of 3x periscope zoom, there’s a standard 2x zoom with a 50 MP sensor (1/2.74 inches, f/2.0). The front camera is 32 MP with an f/2.2 aperture.
• Screen and chip: Same 6.77-inch OLED and Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip.
• Battery and charging: Same specs – 5000 mAh and 50W charging

In addition, the Phone (3a) will be offered in a variety of colors, including black, white, and blue (the latter will not be available in the U.S.

Prices and availability

• Phone (3a) Pro will be available in 12GB/256GB variant for £449 / $459 / €459 / INR 33,999. Two more affordable 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB versions will be available in India for INR 29,999 and 31,999 respectively.
• Phone (3a) is priced at £329 / €329 / INR 24,999 for the 8GB/128GB and the 12GB/256GB model will cost £379 / $379 / €379. Another 8GB/256GB version is available in India for INR 26,999

Pre-orders for both models will start on March 4 for the Phone (3a) and March 11 for the Phone (3a) Pro via the official Nothing web store.
