The images also confirm that the device will run Android. This could mean that Project Q could theoretically be modified to work with other game streaming apps like GeForce Now or Amazon Luna.

Announced at the PlayStation Showcase event earlier this year, Project Q is described as «a specialized device that lets you stream games from your PS5 console via remote playback over wi-fi».

According to SIE, the device features an 8-inch 1080p HD screen, as well as all the buttons and features of the DualSense wireless controller. While Sony has yet to announce an official release date for Project Q, court documents filed by Microsoft in its recent legal battle with Activision Blizzard suggest that it’s expected to launch later this year.
