Google Chrome has strengthened users’ defenses against scammers and viruses with AI

Google has updated its Chrome browser, improving its Proactive Protection feature with artificial intelligence algorithms. According to the developers, this innovation will provide reliable protection from dangerous websites, as well as from malicious downloads and extensions.
After the update, the Proactive Protection feature has been renamed Enhanced Protection. Google hasn’t yet released a full list of changes, but according to information from specialized media, the new algorithm will likely analyze the behavior of various sites and files, comparing it to certain “norms,” and flag anomalies as potential threats. This will allow the browser to detect even those risks it has not encountered before.
The artificial intelligence-based defense mechanism is also known to perform in-depth scanning of suspicious downloads, and data about the pages visited can be transmitted to the developer’s server for further verification.
The Enhanced Protection feature is already available in the latest version of Google Chrome, but is disabled by default. You can activate it in the settings menu on Windows, Android, and iOS devices.
More information is available in the latest version of Google Chrome, but it’s disabled by default.
