Tesla has launched mass production of the updated Model Y “Juniper”

The Tesla officially confirmed the start of production of the redesigned Model Y Juniper at Gigafactory Shanghai. The first production cars flew off the assembly line on February 17, with the official announcement following the next day.

The updated Model Y is available in two variants:

1⃣ All-Wheel Drive (AWD)

New color Glacier Blue
Two electric motors with a combined output of 331 kW (444 hp)

Range – 719 km (CLTC)

2⃣ Rear Wheel Drive (RWD)

One 220 kW (295 hp)
LFP 62.5 kWh battery (supplied by CATL)
Range – 593 kilometers (CLTC)

Price and sales launch

The automaker introduced the Launch Edition Model Y Juniper back on January 10. The price ranges from 253,500 to 303,500 yuan (€32,400 to €37,300).

Deliveries were originally scheduled for March, but were pushed back to the end of February.
