Yandex improved Alice and added features for smart home
By ForGeeks Yandex has announced an update to its digital assistant Alice and related smart devices. The Home with Alice app has added the ability to customize notifications for low battery notifications on sensors. Alice will now remind you in advance when you need to replace the battery, so you’re always connected to your important devices.
Another new feature is that sensor data is no longer lost when the internet goes down. Previously, information like temperature or an open door would disappear from the app. Now the data is temporarily stored on the smart speaker and appears in the app when the internet is restored. This feature works with Zigbee and Matter sensors.
In addition, residents of Moscow and the Moscow region can now order installation of smart switches and relays through Workker’s partner service. The service includes the installation of wired switches, their integration into the smart home system with Alice, and customization of work scenarios.
