Yandex has built its most powerful language model into Alice

Yandex has unveiled an improved version of its Alice Pro feature, powered by the latest YandexGPT 4 Pro language model. Users can already experience its features in chats with Alice, and for devices with smart functionality from Yandex, the update will be available in the near future. This is the company’s first mass-market product to utilize the power of the new language model.

Improved response quality

To evaluate Alice’s performance based on YandexGPT 4 Pro, the company regularly conducts tests comparing the results with previous versions. Studies have shown that the new model provides better answers 58% of the time. Responses became 55% more informative, and overall query performance increased by 33%.

Expanded Text Generation Capabilities

One of the key features of the updated Alice is the ability to generate text on a variety of topics. With the use of YandexGPT 4 Pro, the assistant is better able to handle queries that require world knowledge and creative tasks:

• When answering questions about music, science, or technology, the new version outperforms the previous version 57% of the time.
• In creative tasks, such as creating advertising slogans or developing the structure of thesis projects, improvement rates reach 58%.

Alice Pro is currently used by more than 1.6 million users.
