Virtual eSIM for travel can now be issued in SberBank Online

Sber has launched the ability to register a foreign eSIM directly in the SberBank Online application. The virtual SIM card works in more than 100 countries and allows you to use the Internet abroad without roaming.
Sber’s new service is designed for traveling and business trips. The virtual SIM card (eSIM) with prepaid Internet traffic is connected via SberBank Online and does not require an office visit or identity verification.
The foreign eSIM does not have a phone number and does not support calls and SMS, but it is suitable for communication in messengers and social networks, photo and video sharing, streaming and Internet distribution. The main SIM remains active, but you must select the eSIM for data transfer to avoid roaming charges.
For the purchase you just need to specify the country, the term of connection and the amount of traffic. If you run out of traffic while traveling, you can buy a new eSIM – QR code for activation and instructions are sent to your e-mail. You can check your balance by searching for the word “eSIM” in the app.
Sber claims to offer some of the most favorable tariffs on the market. For example, a week of internet in Turkey costs 800 rubles – almost half the price of similar offers from competitors.
