Startup Lava Music has made a guitar with AI and an unusual interface

Hong Kong-based Lava Music has unveiled a new Genie electric guitar that differs from standard guitars in many ways. Instead of traditional strings, the instrument uses an interactive controller that uses artificial intelligence to translate hand movements and touches into sound.
Unique Guitar Features and Capabilities

In place of the familiar fingerboard, the Genie has special buttons that allow users to create and record music like a synthesizer. The guitar supports more than 500 different tones, and the built-in 32W speakers deliver a rich and spacious sound. Genie is also compatible with a wide range of sound systems, computers and mobile devices, making it versatile for use in a variety of environments.
Newbie support and user-friendly design
For beginner musicians, an app with an extensive library of tutorials helps you learn the instrument faster. The Genie’s compact design makes it easy to transport: the fingerboard can be detached and the unit is easy to carry around. The guitar lasts up to six hours without recharging, making it a reliable choice for long sessions.

Availability and Cost
Genie will be available in white and transparent versions. The guitar is priced at $399 and sales will start in December 2024. Those interested can pre-order the guitar on Kickstarter now.
