Casiotron TRN-50ZE-1A from Casio goes on sale: a tribute to the first watch with a digital calendar

Casio has launched a limited edition Casiotron TRN-50ZE-1A to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the world’s first digital automatic calendar watch, the Casiotron, which first appeared in 1974. This anniversary model is already available for purchase in Europe at €599.

Main features of the TRN-50ZE-1A:
- Design: Black and gold color scheme accented by a steel case and bracelet that are finished in a combination of polished and brushed finishes. Gold details add elegance while maintaining the style of the original Casiotron.
- Functionality: State-of-the-art technology includes radio-controlled time via Multi-Band 6 and Bluetooth, allowing the watch to be synchronized with a smartphone for automatic time adjustment. The Casio Watches app also offers reminder functions and phone search.
- Energy: The Tough Solar system provides up to 11 months of use on a full charge and up to 22 months in power-saving mode. LED Super Illuminator ensures readability in low-light conditions.

- Size and other features: Case size 42.7 x 39.1 x 12.3 mm, weight – 111 grams. Water resistance up to 5 bar makes it suitable for everyday use. A calendar, world time for 39 time zones, countdown timer, stopwatch and five alarms are also available.
- Special Edition: Anniversary engraving on the back cover emphasizes the significance of the series, and the eco-friendly packaging includes a cotton pouch for accessories.
