Nintendo announced an interactive alarm clock called Alarmo

Nintendo has just announced its latest innovation: the Alarmo, an interactive alarm clock that combines gaming nostalgia with smart technology. The device will hit store shelves in early 2025, priced at $100.

With sounds inspired by Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4 and Ring Fit Adventure, Alarmo creates a dynamic and playful wake-up experience. This alarm clock doesn’t just wake you up — it responds to your movements by playing additional game sounds when you move, roll over or get out of bed. The user can delay the alarm clock with a simple gesture or stop it completely by standing up from their seat. For those who prefer the more traditional way, there is always the option to press a button. The device also tracks movements during sleep, which can be used to learn about the user’s bedtime habits.

Nintendo offers 35 different scenes to choose from, each centered around classic gaming moments. The cheerful sounds of Mushroom Kingdom, the heroic echoes of Hyrule, or the fresh rhythms of Inklings from Splatoon 3 — every morning can start with new music. Additional sounds from other Nintendo games will be available as free updates.
