AMD is preparing to release the EPYC Turin processor with 128 cores

The AMD company is preparing to release the EPYC Turin processor, which, according to experts, will carry up to 128 cores. It should also be recalled that the Bergamo CPU with the same number of cores will also be released this year, despite the fact that Bergamo will not be the main line of Epyc, but a secondary line with small cores Zen 4c. The Genoa line of CPUs, on the other hand, offers a maximum of 96 cores, which means there will be an increase in the number of cores relative to it.
If we believe insider information, AMD EPYC Turin processor will use chipset design and will be able to contain up to 128 cores and 256 threads at TDP up to 500W, and in some models of the line can get performance at power consumption in the peak load up to 600W. As you know, EPYC Turin processors will have the same L2 and L3 cache levels as Zen 4, but with a slight improvement in the L1 cache.
This processor is definitely not designed for home computers, but is oriented to work as part of a server, which is why, thanks to this number of cores, the system will be very productive indeed.
