Xbox: Wolverine and Deadpool rivalry extends to controllers too

Microsoft has one last surprise before the release of the highly anticipated movie «Deadpool and Wolverine» on Friday: a Wolverine controller to match the Deadpool controller the company announced last week. It looks exactly the same as the red one with the prominent back, only yellow and blue and with fake pockets.

Marcos Waltenberg, general manager of Xbox Global Partnerships, said in a post on Xbox Wire that the controller was created because fans responded well to the Deadpool controller.

And because we can’t resist a little friendly competition (certainly not for fear of his temper), our team immediately set out to produce this Wolverine-inspired wireless Xbox controller.

Xbox has even placed a billboard advertising the controller in Alberta, Canada, where Wolverine in the comics hails from.

As with “Deadpool,” all you have to do — is be over 18 and interact with the official social media post. This time, presumably on Microsoft’s official account with the hashtag #MicrosoftCheekySweepstakes (although it’s worth noting that we couldn’t find it).
