No Man’s Sky gets Starship Troopers mode in new update

No Man’s Sky, the open-world space game, is known for its ongoing community support and new ideas. On Wednesday, it announced that global changes will continue with update 5.0, which is officially called Worlds Part 1. That’s because, as Hello Game founder Sean Murray says, “there’s more to come.”

No Man&#8217s Sky is a game with a lot of new ideas.

Like other No Man’s Sky updates, the team is adding more planets, biomes, plants and creatures. However, this will be like a huge technological upgrade that will make the game even more “realistic” and dynamic. The game is also getting a bug hunting mode, which Murray says is “inspired by Starship Troopers,” which feels… familiar.

Murray briefly talked about some of the new tech used in the update in a video. But you can read more details on the official blog. In brief, the game will have new tools to create more realistic water with waves and reflections; shadows that will change depending on the position of the stars; and a new wind simulation system that creates patterns and reacts to the weather.

Murray said that the new update will also include new tools for creating more realistic water with waves and reflections; shadows that will change depending on the position of the stars; and a new wind simulation system that creates patterns and reacts to the weather.

The Founder also took the time to focus on clouds, which got a big upgrade in terms of coverage, performance, visual detail and variety, with different types of clouds responding to the weather.

Sometimes a storm hits, waves rise. The atmosphere, the wind — all these technologies come together, and nothing can compare to that.

The developers have added more obstacles to the worlds. One type, detailed on the blog, — a floating island that floats above the planets and can be reached with a jetpack.

Hello Games has continually updated No Man’s Sky with various sized updates since its release in 2016, which has helped the game maintain its player base. While 4.0 mostly contained quality of life improvements and new difficulty settings, 3.0 brought new system types, new planets, and a revamped UI.

Hello Games has also updated the UI.

What about the next project, Light no Fire, Murray was careful to mention that it uses a lot of the same technology as Worlds Part 1.
