Samsung has confirmed that One UI 6.1 will be coming to the Galaxy S22 and other Galaxy devices

Samsung was rumored to introduce One UI 6.1 for older Galaxy devices sometime in May. While this rumor was based on a statement from a Samsung community forum moderator, it didn’t come directly from the company. Thankfully, earlier this week, Samsung confirmed this information. The South Korean company announced that the One UI 6.1 update will appear on more Galaxy smartphones and tablets.

In particular, Samsung mentions that Galaxy AI, the mobile artificial intelligence introduced in the recent Galaxy S24 series, will extend to the Galaxy S22 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and galaxy Z Flip 4 foldable phones, and the Galaxy Tab S8 series of tablets. As we previously reported, the One UI 6.1 update will start rolling out in early May to Galaxy S22 series phones, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy Tab S8 series tablets.

For those who don’t know, the One UI 6.1 update includes many AI-centric features such as Circle to Search with Google, Chat Assist, Interpreter, Live Translate, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, Browsing Assist, Generative Edit, Edit Suggestion and AI-Generated Wallpaper.
All these Galaxy AI features will be available on the aforementioned devices along with the new features and enhancements of One UI 6.1.
