«This Earth Day, let’s find a good use for your used device. You can turn it in to a store and get a credit toward your next purchase» —it says on Apple’s drop-off page. «And if you can’t turn in your device, we’ll recycle it for free».

Even if your device isn’t eligible for trade-in, Apple will recycle it for free. Apple accepts a variety of items, including Apple devices, batteries, cables, cases, monitors, packaging, and more.
