MWC 2024: OnePlus Watch 2 with Wear OS and stainless steel case unveiled

The original OnePlus Watch came out three years ago. Today, the company revealed the new and improved Watch 2. They’re based on Dual Engine architecture, which means two chipsets and two operating systems.

One of them is the Snapdragon W5, which runs Wear OS. Thanks to it, you have full access to the app store. The other is the BES2700, which runs a real-time OS (RTOS) with low power consumption.

In smart mode, you can launch Google Maps, Assistant, Wallet, Calendar, Keep, Gmail and other apps. There are 20 built-in watch faces on board and there are 80 more that can be downloaded additionally. The 500mAh battery lasts up to 100 hours in this mode.

In Power Saving mode, only the RTOS works, but there are still plenty of features available – sleep and heart rate tracking, sports mode, call reception, and more. The watch can run for up to 12 days with Power Save enabled.

The OnePlus Watch 2 will be able to be charged with a 7.5W VOOC. It takes 60 minutes to fully charge to 100%.

OnePlus Watch 2 has a stainless steel case that measures 47.0 x 46.6 x 12.1 mm. The accessory weighs 80 grams. The watch gets a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen covered with 2.5D sapphire glass. The display has a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and runs at 60Hz.

Open sales of the watch will start on March 4. Price in Europe —€330.
