By ForGeeks The renowned car manufacturer Skoda has unveiled the updated Octavia and its 2024 RS version. The new design of the car, a larger interior display and a modernized range of internal combustion engines are the significant changes of the new Octavia RS.
The new Octavia RS is a new model.
The new version of the Octavia differs from the previous model in the series by featuring Matrix LED headlights with glare-free adaptive high beam as standard on the RS. In addition, the car’s rear optics now feature a similar design to Audi cars. Other innovations include updated alloy wheels ranging from 16 to 19 inches in diameter and expressive body colors including orange and green. The manufacturer also paid attention to the font used to identify the make and model of the car and made changes.

The car’s interior features a new 13-inch infotainment panel and dual-zone automatic climate control. New trim and upholstery options have been added, while the ventilated and massaging front seats have been retained (optional on advanced trims).
The Octavia RS model is available only with a 2-liter gasoline engine with 261 horsepower (20 horsepower more than the previous model before the restyling) with front-wheel drive. The manufacturer has abandoned diesel versions due to the decline in their popularity in Europe. In 2025, Skoda plans to introduce an all-wheel drive gasoline version with a 2-liter TSI engine with 201 horsepower, transmitted to both axles via DSG.
At the same time, the base version of the Octavia gets rid of the 1-liter three-cylinder engine, instead of which the buyer is offered a more powerful 1.5-liter engine. The latter is available in standard (114 horsepower) and mild-hybrid (148 horsepower) variants, with front-wheel drive and a choice between a manual six-speed gearbox and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. All-wheel drive is the only option here.
