LiquidStack has released a single-phase immersion cooling system

LiquidStack has released a single-phase immersion cooling system. Immersion cooling systems completely submerge a motherboard with a processor and other devices in a reservoir of non-conductive liquid. In two-phase systems, the liquid has a low boiling point and the vapor condenses on the lid, flowing back into the reservoir. Single-phase systems use a liquid with a high boiling point, which is cooled through radiators and the tank remains open.

LiquidStack has so far only released two-phase immersion cooling systems under the DataTank brand. The new system, which goes on sale Dec. 1, is single-phase and can fit standard server racks with a variety of form factors. The systems can provide Tier IV level N to 2N redundancy.
