Poco F7 Ultra receives one more certification before release
By ForGeeks The Poco F series is being expanded for the first time with an Ultra model – the Poco F7 Ultra, which will be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. This information became known thanks to benchmark test results.
Certification and Announcement Date
The smartphone passed certification for sales in Indonesia back in January, and has now received regulatory approval in Thailand. This indicates a fast release, although the exact date is not yet known. By comparison, the Poco F6 series was introduced in May 2023, so the F7 Ultra and F7 Pro could be announced within a few weeks.
Expected Specifications
The Poco F7 Ultra is rumored to be a rebranding of the Redmi K80 Pro, which means its specs could include:
- 6.67-inch OLED display with 1440×3200 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3200 nits
- 12/16GB of RAM
- 256GB / 512GB / 1TB internal memory
- 50MP main camera with OIS
- 50-MP telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom and OIS
- 32-MP ultra-wide-angle camera
- 20-MP front camera
- 6000mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging
Software
Poco F7 Ultra will run on Android 15 with the proprietary HyperOS 2 shell.
When to wait?
Although the exact date of the announcement is unknown, considering certifications in several countries, the unveiling could take place as early as the next few weeks.
