OxygenOS 16 will get deep integration with Google Gemini

OnePlus is gearing up to release its new proprietary shell, OxygenOS 16, and while no exact launch date has been given yet, the company has already started teasering it heavily on X.
OxygenOS 16 will feature tight integration with Google’s Gemini artificial intelligence. The service will get access to OnePlus’ Mind Space feature and likely the brand’s other built-in apps. This will allow you to perform more complex tasks using the context the user saves in Mind Space.

This move isn’t unique to OnePlus: more and more Android shell makers are opening up Gemini access to their system features and apps to make the service more useful.
Now we just have to wait for the release — after all, Android 16, on which the new version of OxygenOS is based, was released back in June.
