The Nothing Phone 3 will get the new Glyph Matrix light system

The Nothing company continues to actively fuel interest in the upcoming Nothing Phone 3. After it was revealed that the smartphone will get a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, the brand is back with a new teaser, this time focusing on the Glyph Matrix lighting system.
There’s not much information available at the moment – the company has only released a short teaser, without a full-fledged design reveal. Judging by the clip, the back of the smartphone will feature an updated Glyph Matrix light matrix in the top right corner. It’s an evolution of the company’s proprietary Glyph Interface, which Nothing had previously officially abandoned.

Nothing has also changed the avatars of its social media accounts to feature a logo that matches the Glyph Matrix design element. Interestingly, this element doesn’t match the renders of the alleged Phone 3 that have leaked online – they don’t show such a backlighting system. Some enthusiasts have already suggested that the images that hit the web earlier are likely to be of the Phone 3a prototype, rather than the main model.
According to reports, the Glyph Matrix may turn out to be a dot-style LED matrix, which will allow for more complex animations and patterns to be displayed than before. Users may be able to customize the display of notifications in the form of icons – for example, when a message is received in WhatsApp, its pixelated logo will appear.

We’ll have to wait for official information from Nothing to see what else the new smartphone will surprise us with.
