Sony’s XM6 and XM5 headphones get new useful features

Sony has released updated software versions for its WH-1000XM6 (full-size) and WF-1000XM5 (in-canal) premium wireless headphones. The new firmware versions expand functionality related to smart features and improved sound quality for both models. Sony has released the new firmware versions for the WH-1000XM6 (full-size) and WF-1000XM5 (in-canal). Sony WH-1000XM6 and WF-1000XM5 owners can now utilize Gemini Live mode (for real-time interaction with the Gemini intelligent assistant) and simplified connectivity to Android devices thanks to Google Fast Pair. In addition, head tracking now works when connected via the energy-efficient Bluetooth LE Audio protocol. In particular, the WF-1000XM5 model adds the ability to pinpoint the exact location of each headphone independently via the Google Find Hub service. The full feature set will be available when connected to top Android smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S and Google Pixel, but iPhone devices are still limited to supporting some Bluetooth LE Audio capabilities.
