JBL is expanding its audio product lineup by entering the children’s device market with the new Junior Free. It is a wireless, open type wireless headphone (TWS) designed specifically for children. It’s designed for safe listening and parental control.

Unlike most JBL models known for their powerful bass, Junior Free offer a gentle approach to hearing. The headphones feature a volume limiter that keeps sound levels below 85 decibels &#8212 this is considered safe for children’s hearing. The open design keeps the child aware of what’s going on around them, making use safer in everyday environments.

For parents, there are additional monitoring options through the JBL Headphones app. It allows you to monitor the volume and duration of headphone use, and adjust these settings as needed.

The JBL Junior Free last up to 10 hours on a full charge, and a quick 10-minute recharge provides another 3 hours of playback. Other features include — IPX4 splash protection, easy-to-use physical control buttons and a locking headband that helps the headphones stay securely on your child’s head.

JBL Junior Free have already been announced in Europe, priced at €69.99. The model will be available in three bright colors: purple, turquoise, and peach.
