Apple Vision Pro has gained support for digital prism correction

Apple has expanded the capabilities of the Vision Pro headset with the release of visionOS 26 by adding the Digital Prism Correction feature. The device can now be used by people with visual impairments that require prism correction, which was not previously available.
What’s Changed
From the launch of Vision Pro, the company warned that users with a prism in their prescription would not be able to orderZEISS optical inserts. For them, the technology was not available.

In visionOS 26 this limitation has been removed: there will be an option in settings «Add Prism Prescription» where you can enter prescription details.
How it works

The system supports prism values up to 7.75 diopters (PD) in the horizontal and/or vertical directions — BI (base-in), BO (base-out), BU (base-up), BD (base-down) as well as equivalent values in the polar directions (0-359°) for each eye.
- values are mapped to optical inserts,
- it is possible to use several sets of inserts with one device,
- the option is also saved in the guest profile.
Regional Restrictions
The feature is only available in USA and some territories (American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, etc.) for now. Geographic expansion is expected at a later date.
