Following Lenovo with their Legion Y700 (fourth generation), Nubia is preparing to launch its new device, the Red Magic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro, which is scheduled to officially premiere in China on June 11. The tablet is positioned as a direct competitor to the iPad mini 7, while promising a number of advantages, especially in terms of design and performance.
According to the teasers released, the Red Magic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro offers a larger 9-inch display in a similar size to the iPad mini 7, which already makes it stand out among compact tablets. Nubia says it’s the industry’s first 9-inch tablet designed specifically for gaming.
The device features an OLED screen with a resolution of 2400×1504 pixels, framed by symmetrical bezels only 4.9mm wide. This gives the screen 90.1% of the front surface area, maximizing the immersive gaming experience.
Inside, the tablet is a monster: it’s powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version, Qualcomm’s highest-performance chip in the 5G segment. It includes two super cores clocked at up to 4.32GHz. The device has already lit up in Geekbench with 24GB of RAM and Android 15 on board. In the tests, it scored 2,654 in single-core mode and 8,037 in multi-core mode, which confirms its high processing power.
For stable performance under load, the Red Magic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro has a built-in fan and thermal plate cooling system that will keep it running at peak performance even during long gaming sessions.

In China, Nubia’s new product will directly compete with the Lenovo Legion Y700 (Gen 4) as well as the upcoming Dimensity 9400 Plus-based gaming tablet from Redmi. The Red Magic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro will be available in black and silver color options.
