Nubia has unveiled the Pad Pro, a flagship tablet that challenges the Galaxy Tab S10

Nubia has announced two new devices, including its first flagship tablet Pad Pro. The new product is aimed at those who want top-end hardware without overpaying for brands like Samsung and Apple.

What the Nubia Pad Pro has to offer

Despite its flagship status, the Pad Pro is more affordable than most of its competitors. At launch in China, the tablet will be offered in four configurations:

  • 8/256GB – 2800 yuan (~$385 / €335)
  • 12/256GB – 3000 yuan (~$410 / €360)
  • 16/512GB – 3400 yuan (~$465 / €410)
  • 16GB / 1TB – 4000 yuan (~$550 / €480)

The Nubia Pad Pro will make its world premiere on May 13, and prices in other countries are likely to be slightly higher – but remain within reasonable limits.

Display and performance

The Pad Pro gets a 10.9-inch LCD display with a 2.8K resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz. This makes the tablet a more compact solution compared to the Galaxy Tab S10, but it still offers excellent image clarity and smoothness.

The processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is responsible for performance. It’s not the latest chip from Qualcomm, but it’s powerful enough to compete with the Dimensity 9300+ found in Samsung’s new tablets.

At the same time, it’s not the latest chip from Qualcomm, but it’s powerful enough to compete with Samsung’s newer tablets.

Battery, charging and memory

The Pad Pro packs a capacious 10,100 mAh battery that supports fast charging with 66W of power. The only downside is the lack of a microSD slot, so it’s worth thinking about the amount of built-in storage you need beforehand.

Cameras and accessories

The main camera at 13MP is standard for devices in this class. More interesting is the front-facing module: 20MP for selfies and video calls – much larger than most competitors, including the Galaxy Tab S10+.

The tablet supports working with stylus, and you can buy a magnetic keyboard separately for productivity. In China, it costs 500 yuan (~$70 / €60). In the global market, the price may vary slightly.
