Meta* will launch a Twitter counterpart on July 6

The Wall Street Journal reported that Meta* will release its Twitter counterpart —Threads, in two days, on July 6. The app is already available on the App Store, with the option to pre-order it now. Android users will also have access to Threads as soon as the app is available on Google Play.

The official name of the future Twitter competitor is «Threads, the Instagram app*» and, as you can see from screenshots of the app, users will be able to sign up through their Instagram accounts and automatically transfer their account to Threads, along with their followers.

Subscribers will be able to like, repost and forward messages sent to users. Authors will also have the option to add a picture to their post.
