Vivo S50 and S50 Pro Mini smartphones are expected to be announced in December
Rumors and leaks suggest that Vivo is preparing to unveil new S50 series models as early as December in China. First up is the expected debut of the Vivo S50 Pro Mini, which will reportedly be one of the first smartphones to feature the recently unveiled Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. So far, there’s been no official confirmation on which processor the standard Vivo S50 will get.
The Vivo S50 was recently reported in the Geekbench database, which suggests that the device also features a Snapdragon 8 Series chipset – presumably the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. In the tests, the device scored 2044 in the single-core test and 5851 in the multi-core test, which confirms the presence of a powerful processor.
In addition, official teasers showing the exterior of the models have been released, and the recognizable design of the S50 series is evident.

In one of the images, you can notice the side profile of the series is made of metal with a similar aerospace technology finish. Another image reveals that the smartphones will get a triangular rear camera housed in a square module with rounded corners, a design reminiscent of the structure on the iPhone.
Data about the Vivo S50’s CPU and GPU, which appeared in the Geekbench database, shows that the smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. The SoC is powered by 16GB of RAM and Android 16.
The company has already confirmed that the entire S50 series will feature LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. In the Geekbench single-core and multi-core benchmarks, the device scored 2,044 and 5,851 points respectively.
The device has been confirmed to be the first of its kind in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core benchmarks.
According to other reports, the Vivo S50 may feature a 6.59-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The rear camera is expected to include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 periscopic telephoto lens. Other details have not yet been disclosed.
