Samsung Galaxy S26 series will get the same selfie cameras as its predecessors

New rumors about Samsung’s Galaxy S26 lineup are upsetting fans again: no major changes to the cameras are to be expected. According to insider reports, there will be no noticeable upgrades to the rear modules, and the long-awaited replacement of the outdated 10MP telephoto lens with triple zoom will never happen.
When it comes to the front cameras, Samsung isn’t planning any changes here either. According to insider Roland Quandt, all models in the Galaxy S26 series will feature 12-megapixel autofocus modules — exactly the same as in the Galaxy S25, S24 and S23. Recall that the Galaxy S22 Ultra was once highlighted by a 40MP selfie camera, but the company has abandoned that practice.
Although the current 12MP sensor delivers quality photos with good detail, natural skin tones, and wide dynamic range, the lack of updates for four generations in a row gives the impression that the series has stagnated.
