Motorola G86: leaked specs

After the global release of the Moto G85 in June 2024, Motorola is preparing to launch its successor, the Moto G86. Thanks to reputable insider Evan Blass, almost all the specs of the device have now been revealed, along with its design, colors and price.
P-OLED screen, powerful chip and two battery options
Moto G86 will get a 6.67-inch P-OLED screen with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness up to 4,500 nits. The display will be protected by Gorilla Glass 7i and will feature a built-in fingerprint scanner. A dual-speaker audio system with Dolby Atmos support is also announced.
The smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset and will come in two battery configurations:
- 5,200 mAh (7.87 mm body thickness, 185 g weight)
- 6,720 mAh (thickness – 8.65 mm, weight – 198 g)
Both versions support 33W charging

Android 15, long-term support and flexible memory configuration
Moto G86 will ship with Android 15 and a warranty of two years of OS updates and four years of security patches. Expect variants with 8GB or 12GB of RAM (and up to 12GB of virtual memory) and 128GB or 256GB of storage. There’s also a microSD card slot.
Cameras with OIS and autofocus, as well as a wide range of wireless capabilities
The front camera will get a 32 MP resolution. At the back, there will be a dual system:
- Sony LYT-600 50 MP primary module with optical image stabilization
- A 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens with autofocus for macro photography
Additional features include support for 5G, Smart Connect, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, MIL-STD-810H protection, and a dust and water resistant body (IP68/69).

According to the leak, the version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM will cost around €330 in Europe.
