Lava unveils affordable Bold N2 4G with IP64 rating and 90Hz display

Indian brand Lava has launched its latest budget smartphone, the Bold N2 4G, in its home market. Available in two colors and priced under $100, it aims to deliver solid value for entry-level buyers.

The Bold N2 4G succeeds last year’s Bold N1 4G, retaining many core specs but introducing a refreshed design and enhanced durability features.

Under the hood, the phone runs on a Unisoc SC9863A octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There’s also a microSD card slot to expand storage further. The rear panel design has been revamped to resemble the Bold N1 5G, and the device now boasts a higher IP64 ingress protection rating, up from IP54 on its predecessor.

The Bold N2 4G features a 6.75-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. The screen is framed by noticeably thick bezels, with a 5MP front camera housed inside a waterdrop notch. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor handles biometric security.

Photography duties fall to a 13MP primary shooter accompanied by a secondary sensor of undisclosed function and an LED flash. Powering the device is a sizeable 5,000mAh battery, and it runs Android 15 Go edition straight out of the box.

The Lava Bold N2 4G will go on sale starting February 27, available in Indus Black and Siachen White. The sole 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant is priced at ₹7,499, roughly $82.
