iQOO is preparing a smartphone with 8000 mAh battery

Chinese regulator CMIIT has approved for release a new Vivo smartphone with model number V2507A, which previously passed 3C certification with 90W charging support. According to a new report, the device features a battery with a typical capacity of around 8,000mAh, casting doubt on whether it belongs to the expected Vivo X Fold 5 and pointing to a possible new iQOO-branded model.
The new smartphone with an 8,000mAh battery is unlikely to be the Vivo X Fold 5
It was initially speculated that the V2507A could be a Vivo X Fold 5 smartphone, as previous leaks pointed to a 6,000mAh battery. However, the CMIIT registry code indicates a nominal battery capacity of 7,840 mAh, which corresponds to a typical capacity of around 8,000 mAh. This is significantly higher than the expected performance of the X Fold 5, making this version unlikely.

iQOO Z10 may get Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and 120Hz screen
With battery power and fast charging, it’s more logical to assume we’re talking about an iQOO-branded smartphone. Right now, the Z10 lineup includes the Z10x, Z10 Turbo, and Z10 Turbo Pro, powered by the Dimensity 7300, Dimensity 8400, and Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipsets, respectively. However, the base version of the Z10 hasn’t been officially unveiled yet.
The iQOO Z10 is rumored to get a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, 120Hz OLED display and support for 90W charging. All of these parameters match the specs revealed in the documentation for the V2507A.

The device could compete with Honor Power
At the moment, the only mass-market smartphone with an 8,000mAh battery remains the Honor Power, released in China in April. If the V2507A does turn out to be iQOO’s new model, it could compete directly with Honor Power in the standalone Android smartphone market.
Official confirmation of the model and specs is yet to come. It’s possible that the V2507A will be released as the iQOO Z10 or under a different name altogether.
